Erbus plane desaster
1979 The new zealand aircraft flight TE901 took of at the auckland airport they were flying to antarctica. 12;49 After a reasonable time of fling the plane had crashed into the lower slopes of mount Erebus all 237 passengers and 20 staff members on board died that day this was known to be one of the worst days of new zealand history. They sent a search and rescue team to the known location of the plane tragedy, To confirm no survivors, there was a lot of talk and argument over whose fault the accident was Justice Peter mahons royal commissioner placed the blame on the aircrafts systems.

In 17 October 1877, sir James Pendergast's influenced the waitangi treaty. James was the third chief justice of new zealand and he wasn't a very nice one. He wasn't fair with the maori community he didn't agree with the maoris they said that their ancestors were savages and didn't know what they were getting into, but James didn't care he said it was sign and that's that and he didn't let schools be built and was fight to get rid of the maori culture

Jean Battern
Jean Batten is most famous for reaching auckland after her epic solo flight, jean batten left for new zealand from kent, England 4:20 A.M. on 5 october 1936, a large group of supporters came to watch her set of. Because Jean was already famous for another one of her solo flights from england to australia in may 1934 and to south america in 1935. because Jean Batten had to fly to a far location she had to stop in a few locations because her aircraft could not hold to much fuel.

Anti-terror raids in urewera
On October 15 2007 18 criminals were arrested urewera witch is near the bay of plenty township Ruatoki. The police had been watching them for 12 months on surveillance and found them suspicious so they executed a warrant to search there ground and came across illegal firearms, they were taken to court and were sentenced for two and a half years imprisonment.
